Taken for granted, Snap Dragons have always been one of my personal favourites when it comes to flowers. I find it sad that few people ever take their time to closely examine these little treasures, which was the main reason why I chose to portray them in such a large format.

The theme for St. George's Prey was taken from religious mythology, which told us how St. George slew the evil dragon. This story helped perpetuate another myth of good conquering evil. It seems to me that all religions have this good and evil theme, making evil or good a very black and white issue omitting the grey areas. Within St. George's Prey, St George is represented on the left by an approaching storm. Our evil dragon is in the form of a beautiful flower, the snap dragon. Victory or defeat is not determined but left to conjecture who really wins.
